The Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) is a global resource designed for all military-connected spouses, across all service components and branches, including Gold Star and Surviving spouses. MSAN connects spouses with each other, peer mentors, resources, educational opportunities, and leadership development within its virtual platform - the Military Spouse Mentorship-HUB (Global-HUB).
MSAN collaborates with Department of Defense (DoD) Installations and resources, and trusted partner organizations, to build personal, long-term connections that expand the military family sense of community. MSAN strives to improve morale and military retention, increase utilization of resources, and provide an ongoing investment in the communities that our leaders serve.
Just a few of the educational opportunities within the Global-HUB include informational modules on topics such as:
- Financial Readiness
- New Military Spouses
- Mental Health & Wellness
A recent addition is the ability for members working directly with peer mentors to earn their own mental health ally micro-certifications from PsychHub.
Alabama continues to lead the nation by partnering with MSAN through the Alabama Military Stability Foundation (ALMSF), to create the first, and currently only, state-specific version of the HUB. Our statewide platform is called the MSAN Alabama Military Spouse Mentorship-HUB, or AL-HUB for short. It offers a more local-focused opportunity to help military spouses engage as they move to Alabama or across the state, and while living here.
This collaboration will provide military spouses and families across all branches with a dedicated mentorship experience. The HUB offers daily access to peer-to-peer mentorship and connects users to local and state programs and resources, enhancing their support network.
