Alabama continues to lead the way for our military-connected spouses, families, service members, and Veterans with innovative communication, resource awareness, and connectivity initiatives.

Our next expansion of the MSAN Alabama Military Spouse Mentorship-HUB (AL-HUB) bridges a major gap for Alabama National Guard (ALNG) Spouses. ALNG Spouses did not previously have a centralized way to receive and share information, which has left many feeling disconnected from their spouses’ service and ill-informed about events and resources.

The new Alabama National Guard Spouse Forum will serve as that centralized information and mentorship HUB, connecting ALNG Spouses with each other in their local areas and across the state, and with senior leader spouses. This innovative approach further helps to create a sense of connection among families of ALNG members and improve their quality of life.

Powered by the Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN), the ALNG Spouse Forum offers a connection to peers with a focus on mentorship and education.

  • In addition to 24/7 access to peer mentors who are also certified mental health allies, all military-connected spouses in and moving to Alabama can join the AL-HUB for educational modules, resource connectivity, access to the new Alabama Military Spouse Advisory Council meetings, and making new connections within their local and extended communities.
  • ALNG spouses are also able to join the ALNG Spouse Forum inside the AL-HUB to access their component-specific connections to the ALNG senior spouse and other ALNG leader spouses, as well as ALNG-related resources and events.
