Overview
The Alabama Military Spouse Advisory Council (the Council) held our first quarterly meeting on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The main topic on the agenda was Favorite Big and Small Resources. We also welcomed our newest Council Member, Abbi McCracken, who represents the Mobile area and local Coast Guard spouses.
Council Members in attendance were: Jennifer Holliday, Chair & Alabama Military Family Liaison; Genevieve Kruger, Redstone Region; Mollie Miller, Fort Rucker; Abbi McCracken, Mobile Area; and Heather Campbell, Guest Member.
Agenda
- Welcome to the Meeting and Quick Intros Around the Zoom
- Welcome Abbi to the Council
- Favorite Resources Discussion
--> 2-4-2: Two minutes each for two resources shared by each Council Member
- Share additional favorites in the chat
- Short Q&A and continued resource sharing
After quick introductions by the Council Members, we officially welcomed Abbi to the Council with time to share her background.
The Favorite Resources Discussion was designed for each Council Member to pick and share one "big" resource and one "small" resource. For the purposes of this discussion, we defined "big" as those resources that are very well known no matter their size by personnel or geography, or those that are very large in size and/or scope whether they are nationally well known or not. Our "small" resources were defined as those that are local and not well known, or large in size by not well known.
